Benefits of Bamboo
bamboo Bamboo has a short growth cycle, one of the fastest growing woody plants on earth. Some species can grow up to one meter daily, which makes it a quick renewable resource. And because it’s so versatile and yields so much, it solves the problem of replenishing many consumables quickly.
Throughout the world, there are over 1600 species of bamboo which have adapted to many different environments. Bamboo can be harvested in 3 to 5 years, in contrast to other plants that take 10 to 20. It also tolerates extreme weather conditions, from droughts to high rainfall.
Bamboo is antibacterial, forever. By killing almost all bacteria, bamboo stays fresher and odor-free for longer, is more hygienic and healthier.
Bamboo is the fastest growing plant in the world, mainly because it has extraordinary water absorbency which helps it to grow fast.
Bamboo is antibacterial, antifungal and anti-static. In the wild, bamboo thrives naturally without using any pesticides or fertilizers.
From an environmental perspective, bamboo generates 35% more oxygen than an equivalent amount of trees so it cleanses the air of carbon dioxide and cleans the soil at the same time. Bamboo roots help prevent erosion and provides shade.
